Meet Adam Petrovsky, President of the Arizona Skeptical Society

Mr. Petrovsky, a native-Arizonan, was raised in central Phoenix and attended Central High School, receiving his diploma in 1983.  Adam studied biology and evoluntionary biology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1996.  He became involved in computer technology and it's implications on science.  In 2002, Mr. Petrovsky was endowed with a Master of Science Degree from Belford University in Management of Information Technology.

In 2002, Mr. Petrovsky became a affliated with the Center For Inquiry (previously CSICOP) and the New England Skeptical Society.  Becoming actively involved in the online skeptical community, he began studying biological evolution, critical thinking and amassed an enormous library of books, periodicals and articles on subjects varrying from exposing pseudo-science, educational science curriculum and many other topics.

Mr. Petrovsky is currently Vice President at an Information Technology firm in Phoenix, Arizona and spends off-work hours carrying the message of critical thinking and the power of the scientific method.

Recent Events

In addition to monthly meetings, many new events are being planned for 2008.  We've review these events and inform the community about other important scientific groups throughout Arizona.

Bigfoot continues to haunt American and worldwide citizens.  Regardless of recently exposed hoaxes (including the famous Penn & Teller hoax), many sites and die-hard Bigfoot believers continue to propagate a story which has not a single piece of reliable evidence.
