Founded in 2006, The Arizona Skeptical Society (AZSS) was created in the ever-exapnding background noise of homeopathy, UFO-Alien fantasies, consipracy theorists, creationists, Intelligent Designer's, astrology, reflexology, alternative medicine and on, and on, and on. Our purpose is to promote critical scientific thinking through web-based education, events, speakers, and through associations with other skeptical organizations.

The Arizona Skeptics Society was founded for the primary purpose of educating Arizona residents and other organizations about how Skeptics think and why critical thinking is an important tool that everyone must learn to be able to independently understanding fact from fiction.

Our organization's membership comes from all around Arizona, and discusses important political and social issues that are directly related to how science evaluates logical falacies and true believers.
